My Story

Born and raised in Garden City, Kansas in 1965, I have a long-standing connection to my hometown. My educational journey began at Garfield Elementary School, where I completed kindergarten through 4th grade. Unfortunately, the school faced an unfortunate incident and burned down. Consequently, I transitioned to Gertrude Walker Elementary School to complete my 4th grade through 6th grade education. Following this, I enrolled at Abe Hubert Junior High before eventually graduating from GCHS in 1983.

Throughout my professional career, I have primarily worked in the construction industry, honing my skills and gaining valuable experience. For the past 16 years, I have been employed by UPS, serving as a preloader during the mornings. In addition, I have dedicated my afternoons to working with Sperry Construction, where I have played an integral role in various construction projects. However, recently, there has been a shift in my career path as I commenced working with Real Men Real Leaders in August 2021.

On a personal note, I have been happily married to my beloved wife, Roxie, for 38 years. Our enduring union has been blessed with the joy of raising two remarkable adult children. As our family expanded, we have also been blessed with the delightful presence of 12 grandchildren and the newest addition to our lineage, a great grandson.

It is these experiences, both personal and professional, that have shaped my character and provided me with a profound appreciation for the values of hard work, dedication, and the importance of family.
